Coal India Limited (CIL) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 660 Management Trainee (MT) vacancy to work in CIL in E-1 grade in different discipline. The selection will be based on Computer Based Test (CBT). Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here.

Scale of pay:Selected candidates will be placed as Management Trainee in E-1 Grade in the scale of pay of ₹. 60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the initial Basic of ₹. 60,000/- per month during the training period. On successful and satisfactory completion of 1-year training cum probation, service will be confirmed in E-1 Grade as Officer (Discipline).

Eligibility Criteria of Coal India Limited MT Recruitment

Age Limit: The Upper Age Limit is 30 Years as on 30th April 2026 for General (UR) & EWS category candidates. 

Age Relaxation: Category-wise relaxation in Upper Age Limit is mentioned below:

# OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years
# SC / ST – 5 Years # For Persons with Disabilities:
^ General (UR) – 10 Years
^ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 13 Years
^ SC / ST – 15 Years

Educational Qualification:

Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical: Degree in the relevant branch of Engg. With a minimum of 60% marks.

System: Recognized 1st Class Degree in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / I.T or any 1st Class Degree with MCA .

Electronics & Communication (E&T): BE/B.tech/B.Sc (Engg) in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

Geology: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.

Industrial Engineering: Degree in the relevant branch of Engg. With a minimum of 60% marks.

Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with minimum 60% marks, and Graduation with Hindi and English as main subjects with 50% marks.

Company Secretary: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute having acquired Company Secretary qualification with Associate/ Fellow membership of ICSI.

Preference would be given to those candidates who have worked in a listed Company.
